Hi first post on here and i am really excited to hear what everyone has to say. I currently use a Mazerati through a 2x12 closed back cab with vin30's. I am conteplating buying a Maz Jr. to run with it for a sound with a little more hair on it. I am currently in a band playing 500+ cap venues so volume doesn't really matter. Also if the Maz Jr should i go head and cab and use 12's or go with the 10's in the combo. I am leaning toward the 10's after hearing all the rave from the country guys on this forum. Any help and suggestions/thoughts would be much appreciated. For refrence you could hear us at www.jupitertheband.comThanks Jordan

O forgot to mention. I used a HW vox ac-30 on the recording and couldn't get away from a really fuzzy sound at any setting. so i am rather embarrased of the tone so look at it as more of a reference than anything.

The Maz Sr breaks up some at reasonable levels I think. What might be reasonable level to me is not reasonable to others at times it seems!

the Maz Sr has such a good master volume that it will sound good anywhere from a whisper to a roar. I'm not at all worried about having to get the output tubes a'crankin' because of that good master.

How about a Ghia? It will break up much sooner than the Mazerati. It's not just the little brother to the Mazerati either, it is sonically different.

I too run a Mazerati 112 with my Maz 18 NR 112 together. I LOVE it. What a cool sound. Pure tele bliss. I use the JR as my main sound, and run the Mazerati on the other side of the stage with my bass player. It is a lot better than running a monitor mix for sure. p.s. I also installed Weber Beam Blockers. They take out some of the shrillness, and disperse the sound evenly. Worth a look. 6strang

i have been doing something like that also. i bought the maz jr and have been running that and my mazerati through 2 2x12 cabs with blues. we haven't tried one on each side of the stage but i def love getting two different sounds to make one huge sound.

I play a mazerati 212 with a stang ray 212 at the moment. they run really well together as the rati seems to catch some of the warm mids and the ray just basically blasts. I've learned that you really gotta love jangle to love this setup. the more I play on the ray though the more I believe it might as well have a diamond grill. this thing just screams Vox. It does it sooooo well too. I was listening to some REM, Radiohead, U2, and Blur the other day and just new I had nailed that tone to a T. Which is just awesome to me.
The only thing I'm missing right now that I wish I had is more beef in the setup. they are combos and I wish I had a couple of z bests to try out the amps on. Just to see if I could get the 2 amps a little fatter sounding.
