Been talking with a guy from Craigs list who is asking for $1,800 Canadian (about $1,500 US) for his Mazerati combo (2X12 blues) It seems like its in good shape, though I haven't actually seen it in person yet. Just wondering if the Z community feels this is a good price for this amp. He also stated best offer in an email which leads me to believe that he'll move a bit on the price.

Also he's saying that its a 2005, and that its the double powered Ghia model. But I thought that year the Mazerati was different from the double powered ghia model.

I would keep looking if I were you. You can grab a Mazerati head for $850 American these days if you look around.
And I believe you're correct, the "Double Powered" Ghia model was re-vamped in 2004 sometime if memory serves. Chime in and correct me if I'm off on that one though forum-ites.
My Mazerati comes from this later era (it's a 2005) and I love it. I don't believe the ones before or after the change were any better or worse - just a bit different, tad more headroom, etc.

I paid $1500 for my 04' Mazerati 1X12 Combo, brand new. Yes, mine and any Mazerati made after, would NOT be the "2X powered Ghia", but the later version.
I would not pay $1500 for the combo, get a head and cab instead. A 2X12 combo is too heavy, and is less versatile. A head and cab is easier to carry, and the cabs can be switched around as needed.

A Mazerati 2x12 with Celestion Blues in it would be a good deal at $1500 US. The 2nd generation Mazerati's started in 2003.

The way to tell the difference is the knobs. Chicken head knobs are the early version, while the round knobs would be the later version. That one is from 2003.
