Is it possible to modify the amount of maximum attenuation on the Brake Lite by moving the metal brackets that are attached to the part with the ridges? I am guessing this is a resistor of some sort that is varied by where those brackets are attached? Just curious.
Also, just want to say that I picked up one of these this weekend, and its very useful tool. At the higher attenuation settings, the distortion from my amp sounds a tad fizzy, but overall it sounds pretty transparent... and much better than using a distortion pedal to achieve overdrive at lower volumes.

No it will not effect the amount of maximum attenuation.

Cool... Thanks Dr! I did some recording with the Lite last night for the first time. Pretty impressed! We were doing some overdubs for our next record. We were using a Blackface Tremolux... and I have to say I have never been able to get a good recorded tone with this amp, its always too loud. But with the Brake Lite, the amp sounded amazing! Set the amp at normal gig volume with attenuation at 3 and it was perfect. Here was the setup, for those nerds that may care. Casino Elitist-->AC Boost-->MXR EQ Pedal--> Spring Reverb Pedal of some sort--> Tremolux-->Brake Lite-->Royer 121-->Presonus Pre-->RNC compressor-->Motu 896.
Just got the AC boost btw, that pedal helps out alot. As well as the Royer!!!
