Just got two... installed one in my Ghia 1x12" & the other in my Z28 2x10". The Lite works so well for me in my combos that I just sold my Airbrake!

I was going to do the same thing... but the bedroom setting helps me with the R66 at home. Looking at picking up a 40 what bf bassman... so I guess I will keep em all.

Just curious what it did for your Z28? I sold my Z28 last year because it was too much power for my needs and bought the Rx Jr, but since I got my Brake Lite I've been wondering what it would have done for that amp.

To be honest I'd been considering selling my Z28 for the same reason... too loud for my current needs. The Air Brake always sounded great with my Ghia but I was never completely happy when I used it with the Z28. Nothing could be further from the truth with the Brake Lite! Since installing the Brake Lite in the Z28 I've been using the amp non-stop. I'm not sure why the different result with the Brake Lite vs. the Air Brake & the Z28 but I can tell you the Z28 isn't going anywhere now! ;D

Complete speculation here but I wonder if the reason I'm liking the Brake Lite better with lower powered amps is because it uses a smaller reisitor... better match maybe. Any thoughts?

Could be there is a difference in the tone of those resistors. I posted a while back how sweet running from one brakelite, into another was. Sounded better than the airbrake in bedroom mode.

Rather than starting a new thread I'll just add to this one.. Last night was my 1st time playing with the Lite installed in my Ghia combo. It sounded so good I rarely used a pedal, just guitar & amp as the great spirit intended; now I need to get another one for the Maz Sr

I don't see how anyone couldn't love the Brake-Lite, unless their amp was over 45w that is....in which case the Air Brake is the only way to go!

The Brake Lite is an essential piece of gear for anyone who wants to get that tasty power amp drive at home without pissing off the neighbors. Love it with my MAZ 18 Jr.! I really can't say enough about Dr. Z's amps. Hands down the best amps for the price on the market today. I got nothin' but love for you Doc!
