i did a search but didn't really find 'the' answer i wanted,so would like to ask here... i use an avatar 1/12 8 ohm cab(w/emi wizard, rated for 75w) which has 2 input jacks - i am getting another 1/12 8 ohm cab (with a tonkerlite, rated for 125w) and thought to try both with my old RX head for a bit more dispersion sometimes.
-if i go from the RX 16ohm out into the avatar and then another speaker cable out of that into the other cab,is it the proper way to do it and would there be any advantage/disadvantage to this setup ? from what i gather, each speaker would get half the total power, but i am not sure...hope someone can advise !

Actually you can do that but you need to go in to the RX's 4 ohm output, not 16. Those jacks are wired in parallel, and two parallel impedances divide rather than add. A series impedance is additive. I have way too much info on this subject over at blog.strayca.com/?p=7

-the cabs together sound great with the RX,thx again for the help...i had it a little past 11:00 last night at a gig and found it to be my favorite 'louder' amp so far- also seems to have a pretty quick attack compared to some others i have used.
