I've ordered a Maz 38 Senior head but I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with some information. I've got an EVM 15L in a cab that I've used for bassmans and other amps in the past. It's a good sounding speaker and I wanted to try it with the Maz 38 head. The only possible issue is that like most EV's rated for 8 ohms it actually measures about 5.4 ohms. Would anyone know if that that could present a problem for this 8 ohm rated head?

It measures 5.4 ohms on the meter but it's actually an 8 ohm speaker. I forget the reason why but that's the bottom line. Speakers always measure about 70% of their actual impedance.

I have a EVM 15 Mesa cab I use with my Maz18 from time to time and I haven't had a problem. Sounds BIG.

Thanks guys. I was worried about tranny damage but it looks like that won't be a problem.
