just a guess, but i'm not sure that a 5R4 would work very well in an EZG. however, a 5U4GB would be an interesting experiement.

H'mmm was talking with a guy yesterday and he mentioned dropping in 5R4 and rebiasing the amp should be bring down the headroom some.

DAVE i agree. it sure will bring down your headroom. i'm just not sure that a 5R4 will function very well in an EZG. you''re probably more likely to get better feedback in the tube section. if you try the 5R4 let me know how (or if) it works.
