Hello, since last week I'm a new Dr.Z user... bought a used (mint) MAZ Sr. head. And I have already a question concerning the speaker outputs: Is there any difference in using the 4, 8 or 16 Ohm ouput with an appropriate speaker cab? Some other amps/ combos run i.e. with an 8 Ohm internal speaker but have the full load at 4 Ohms. Anything like this with the MAZ? I wanna run mine with two 8 Ohm cabs - better to run 'em in parallel (4 Ohms) or in series (16 Ohm)? Thanx in advance, guys... ...and best regards from Germany

Thanx for replying, bluzsteel - I think I'll go the 4 Ohms way... BTW: Just checked out your page - nicely done and - WOW - very impressive! Meeting (and playing with) all these great musicians... I was just watching the pics holding my breath But you're actually living in one of the "root places" for Blues'n'R'n'R... Funny: the singer of our band is american and he is from Ft.Worth too!

No, but I've heard a band with a cool BIG shouter named Memo Gonzales - maybe he's the one you mean... They are quite wellknown all over Germany. My friend's/ singer's name is Joe Hawkins. He was not one of the big guys down there - but he has a great voice anyway. Actually our band is playing a kinda "cowboy rock" thang...
