Hi all,
Used to own the Maz Sr. but sold it a while ago. I'm back in the game for a new amp head and so far the EZG-50 is at the top of the list (followed by a close second with the Stang Ray).
What's the word on the street with respect to matching the EZG-50 with a 1x12 Celestion Gold?. I'm not into the 2x10 or the 4x10 so I'd love to hear your impressions with respect to a 1x12 configuration.

I here the way to go with a 1x12 is the g12-65 (doc's preference and several other's as well). . . I however love the 4x10 and that's where I'm staying.

the g12-65 is a good choice. i love my 1x12 with the EZG. when i first got the EZG i thought the better match would be the 2x12, but i am really diggin' the 1x12 with a Weber Chicago 12. 80 watts, no dope, very responsive, extremely smooth and "woody" with later breakup.

The Gold sounds good, but adds an English accent to the blackface sound. The Celestion Heritage 65 is truer to the sound of the amp.
