Hi everybody,
I play country and I've got a maz 18 2x10 that is a really great amp, but I'd like to have some more low end. Does the 38 2x10 have significantly more thump to it? Do I need to step up to a 2x12?
Thanks,
Mike

I don't really think so. Maybe a bit but not a huge difference. The Maz Sr is more open sounding while the Jr is more focused.
I prefer the Jr.

Hi Mike, I also play country and just bought a Maz JR NR head that I'll run into a 212 vintage 30 cab. I really toiled over this same question, but after playing a Maz JR 212 reverb combo, I stopped worrying. It might not have as much bottom as a Maz SR (according to Willcutt), but it should have as much as you really should need in a band setting. ( I hope). Have you tried a Boss eq pedal to cut the mids a bit, and add some bass? I'd be really interested to hear how this works. I haven't yet recieved my amp, but I found this to work very well with my Rivera R100 212 which tends to lack bottom end. Best of luck with yours!!
