The Galaxie 210 is a great combination. Works nicely when you hook-up an extension too. Love runnin' my 112 combo with a 210 cab connected cheers always, eh Joel

thanks for the welcome guys!
funny you should say that Joel,, a friend of mine has a maz 18jr. head with a 1/12 cab and just today we hooked that sucker up to the Galaxy,,,,holy sh*t, I was grinning from ear to ear....by the way the maz 18jr. is a great tone machine too! I am sure the Gia is too,,seems like everything this guy builds is a tone monster!
just a little about me, professional/active guitarist in NY, run a Blues jam every Wed. night. & lead a band called "The SmokeDaddys" more about me on the myspace.com/joevicinoandthesmokedaddys

Great amp for the blues - just played mine on nice size stage last night (with no Airbrake) as we were raising money for our local blues challenge winner to go to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in February.
Anyhow, the sound guy who runs one of the big stages at Summerfest (worlds largest music fest) came up to me after our set and said "nice guitar tone."
Last night it was just the Gal, a clean boost for most of the leads on Ch1 and Ch2 for the more aggresive blues-rock tones!

cool,, I finished in the finals at the IBC in 2005,,,,, I am digging the triode mode over the pentode,, I know it's 10 less watts in triode but there just seems to be more articulation of the notes, in the pentode it sounds a little generic. I also don't hear any big volume difference,,, maybe it has to break in a little, speakers are a little tight. I have a gig tonight and I'm chomping at the bit to play through it again.

Im thinking Super Reverb with no reverb ofcourse or Brown Face Concert is what the Gal head will sound like with a 4/10 Cabinet. Part of the reason I chose the 2/10 version, so eventually I can get the 2/10 ext cab & get that 60s Fender Concert tone I use to own one and still regret selling it, the Gal sort of has the tone,,,,also if I decide to buy another amp it would be a head like the Maz jr. or Carmen, which would then give me a ton of options depending on the room and size of the gig with an extension cab.

Mmm, Galaxie love. Welcome to the tribe.
Lots of talk here about speaker breakin making monster improvement in tone, but I cannot recall specific mention of the Z 10s. How many hours of hard playing do you 10" owners think it takes to bring out their best?

I usually gig 3 to 4 times a week,,, so I am thinking maybe 2/3 weeks for the speakers to break in

I second that Joey. Great sound last nite. Especially strong, tight low end spank and snap!
