As luck would have it I took a day off from work... and the UPS guy came early with my airbrake so I had a couple of hours with nobody home.
I never realized my Maz Jr had so much potential 'cause I just don't get to dime it often... or anywhere close frankly. After a couple of hours of playing I must say that I am pretty impressed. The only setting that really compromised tone is 'bedroom'.
I think my strategy for a while will be to set the Airbrake on four... and run the amp to the desired volume. I have a Ghia on the way (thanks Andy) and am pretty stoked to see what it will do.

I'm happy with mine. It took me awhile to get along with it, first I liked it then I didn't, then it sat un-used for months then I broke it out one night and started to see that it can give you tones you other wise cant get with out it. Then I finally got a webcam and connected up via the internet with a few old band mates from 20+ years ago and the Z Air Brake is an invaluable tool for Skype playing! It does take some getting used to at least for me it did. cheycaster

...still trying to wrap my head around that whole skype/jam thing. How cool is that?

finally spent some time with the Maz with the Airbrake. The combination of the airbrake and a master volume is pretty cool. I would rather run the amp hot than use a master... but it really helps for tweaking between clicks on the airbrake.

Just got mine today along with some speaker cables from PCNS (thanks Todd) and it's awesome!
I've gotta admit.....I thought it would quiet it down more than it did. I didn't notice much at all on the first click. The second and third were noticeable, but still fairly loud if with the amp cranked. the fourth seemed to be the trick for me. The bedroom setting was kinda cool....obviously it's sucking some serious mojo out of the sound, but I still found it useful and fun to play with. After all, I do live in an apartment. I'm sure that's my neighbors favorite setting. =D
All in all, it's very well worth the money!
I just wish I had two like Steve. =D

I just wish I had two like Steve. =D Soon as you get two that means I have to get another, just to be able to say I have three.
