Howabout a pair of Ghias? This is a rig a buddy of mine put together... he loved his Ghia but needed something "bigger" sometimes. He's also kind of a pedal addict and so I said "Why not get a second Ghia, and run 'em in stereo into a Z-best 2x12 wired one input per speaker??? Ya got all those stereo output pedals anyway..." He liked the idea and ran with it. The sound? Oh damn! Smitty

Nothing is better than a Carmen Ghia. As man folks know, it is my favorite and most used amp .... Z or non-Z.

I think it's cool that there is an amp named after such a cool car. My Dad drove a VW Karmann Ghia, which he and Mom bought before they were married, and drove it for more than 27 years. He went through several engines, the last of which was a 1600cc Porsche engine with duel carbourators. I wondered before I was old enough to know why his Ghia always purred like that when he pulled into the driveway after work. I learned to drive behind the wheel of that VeeDub. Hey Myles, "Nothing is better than a Karmann Ghia." Nah, I bet that Stereo rig that smitty's friend plays sounds even better!

I believe that the Dr. named the Carmen Ghia after his grandson.

No kidding-- that would explain the spelling difference. Hey, Doc! I'd love to hear the story behind it.

You got me, Smitty. I meant Dr. Z's naming amps with car names in general.

The way I first heard about Ghia's (about 1999) was from the Texas amp tech, Big Cookie. He used to use four of em. I'm guessing he was pretty loud....
