thanks guys! i'm REALLY happy with this amp! it's the absolute closest i've been to the tone i've been chasing over the years. my own thing, if you know what i mean. i'm honestly embarrassed i haven't tried a z amp sooner. i've been through a ton of cool booteek stuff, and this amp is pretty much my fave distorted tone ever. not the most versatile amp, but what it does is so cool, it can't really be beat. it's also very telling, i've heard from owners of gt's that have also owned komet constellation amps; they are supposedly *very* similar. i've heard the komet connie described numerous times as the best aggressive el84 amp ever, so you do the math...

I personally know an owner of a Mazerati GT who sold his Komet when he got his Z (no, NOT me. I've never owned a Komet).
The GT has some similarities to the Comet but the circuit is even simpler, which is always a good think for tone ;D
