;D Just picked up this tone beast, I'd tried one back in the Spring at a music store in Ottawa Ontario and was really intrigued. How could 18 watts make so many different sounds?I have a Traynor YVC 40 with upgrades and I just finished making a Marshall 18 watt 1974 clone. Both are super sounding units, especially the clone from Trinity amps. Pure Marshall crunch and a great tremelo to boot. However this CG is a different unit alltogether. Thanks to the Forum, my decision was made way back when..all that was needed was a good amp which I just found. Thanks to Dr Z for a superb piece of eguipment. I don't play professionally any more, I just retired from my day job and am looking foreward to many days in the rec room rockin' on.
What a blast. Jim

congratulations jim.....i just ordered mine a few days ago and i cant wait.....im getting the ghia head with z best cab..........i actually tried the 2 10 combo, but found it to be a little too edgy for my tastes...actually really loud.....the 2 -12 opened it up, and spread the sound out a little for me......happy playing - nick

You will really enjoy this . I have a CG head, with the 2x10 cab. Its amazing how much power this set-up has. Great bass, and highs, too. I find I use the tone and vol controls on my guitar a bit more, which provides for a lot of quick changes. The loudness of the amp is awesome. I keep it at about 9:00 , at home, and at 12 with a band-control the rest with the guitar. Good luck.
