With out an attenuator? I have a couple of times but the SPL is killer if I am too close to the amp. It's like drinking from a fire hose. Most of the time it's either a webber mass or UA. Both are good.
Cheers Larry

I'd like to know if the GT at 9:30-10:00 is as loud as a cranked Route 66 as I play alot of my gigs at 3 oclock all knobs with the 66. My little 1-12 cab is great for getting a cranked tone without being too loud.

At 9 o'clock, the GT is essentially wide open. It's a 38 watt amp, so I would say that at 9:30 to 10:00 it's going to be just a tad bit louder than the 66 wide open.

Would a Weber Mass 50 or mini-mass work well wid the GT?

Don't know about the mini-mass but the I have an old style 50 watt mass that works pretty good.

Jaye, in my humble opinion if you ran the 66 as stated above and the GT at 9:30 right beside it.............. you'd never even know the Route 66 was on The GT is SO much louder.

I've very rarely used my GT with my Airbrake. I've almost always used it: guitar-cord-GT-Zbest. Of course, I haven't played it out at a gig, where an attenuator would be mandatory. I will say that it works very well with the Airbrake. I just love the pure sound without attenuation and just put up with the volume. Of course I also use my Delta 88 unattenuated so maybe I'm deaf

Well you could do it, If you were playing Shea Stadium I would be LOUD, But would sound AMAZING Tyler

I had the guitar going into an Axess BS-2 buffer split to a Route 66 on the left through a G12H30 and a Delta 88 on the right going through the Z Best. I didn't take the ol' SPL meter to the rig while I was playing, but it was a little loud. ;D

We have an outside gig coming up, spring party for a Harley Dealer. It is kind of a park setting with nice outside stage. I plan on playing my GT with probably my RXES or maybe my Ray, both unattenuted. I am really looking forward to it. I have played the GT at the house this way. I have a very open layout in my house, so I have set up the GT, plugged in wireless and moved about 20 feet away. That is a blast. The rest the time, it's airbrake all the way.
