Thanks for the compliments! I just wish my playing could do that thing more justice.
I will say the 'Ray has made me a better player. Nothing to hide behind as you guys all know.

New family member with old friend. Nice, Drew! I didn't know your 6545 was red. I was torn between the Ray and Rx Jr. I got the Jr, but I couldn't have gone wrong either way. Hope you like the Ray! ;D

Hope you like the Ray! ;D Drew's been doin' some "Cross Dressing" Andy ;D Guilty as charged. Can't get much past good ole Curtis. I can't wait to try it in high heels! I just love black amps, once you go black... Plus the 65 side is smoking hot so it only made sense. Thanks Andy. I was right at the same place, I loved the RXES JR but this Stang Ray came along and I couldn't resist. It's a cool amp that might see more action than the 6545.

Hey Drew, are you able to get a good "slide" tone thru the 'Ray w/o using any pedals? If so, do you gotta crank it to get there? kc
Hey Drew, are you able to get a good "slide" tone thru the 'Ray w/o using any pedals? If so, do you gotta crank it to get there? kc
Hey Ken, Sorry for the late response. It's that busy time of the year! 99% of my slide playing relies on heavy OD. Becuase I'm in standard tuning I'm usually playing 1 or 2 notes at a time max so you hear singing notes and not a lot of chord distortion. My pedal of choice these days is the BB with Volume 10:00 +/- Gain 11:00 Treble 10:00 - 11:00 Bass 2:00 I do like the slide tone of the Ray w/o pedals, I set the volume at approx 1:00 and it gets some grit just not that creamy/buttery Duanne OD tone. The ray is cool for slide in open tunings where more strings (notes) are played at the same time. Not my usual style of playing but I'm gravitating toward it a bit more. Hope this helps
