Regarding this picture: I've seen a few Reverend gats around this forum. I have a Reverend Club King RT. Great gats. Of course I don't actually have a Dr Z yet, but seriously considering the Maz 18 JR. But it seems that Rev's and Dr Z's are both for open minded guitarists who prefer tone over hype.

Thanx. I couldn't find spalted maple wood here in belgium so i took a cheap piece of pine and made this spalted look-a-like front panel this sunday afternoon, with a soldering iron, 2 wood colors and a clear finish. ;->

Wow, that is a crazy set-up for sure. It seems crazy I know, but the majority of the time Scotty plays out, he uses a MAZ Junior 1x12 Combo with a spare Head on top in case something craps out. The spare Head is usually another MAZ Junior, but many times is a MAZ Senior in case you arrive and wish you had more power, you can simply run the Senior Head through the Combo's Speaker. This gives you flexibility, plus much less stress in case a Fuse or Tube blows for example. I usually keep a small 1x12 Cabinet in the Truck in case of a Speaker failure. That particular night I had the Amps already Set-Up when Buddy walked in....and his first words were... "Good Lord...there's enough Z-Amps to play Woodstock!" So Buddy used the Left-Side with his Strat, and Scotty played the Right-Side with his Les Paul. It was the finest tone I've ever heard in one room.

Great pic with BW and an interesting approach to your gig setup. I like the idea. Peace, Eddie

Mainly because his dim-witted Roadie finds it easier to do repairs in this fashion......SWAP THE ENTIRE HEAD! ;D Mark

Are these two MAZ Jr Combos and two MAZ Senior Heads? I like the idea of taking the Jr combo with a senior head. I do something similar, but the head is a jr. Your set up is sure to get me GASin over a Senior head now.

Your set up is sure to get me GASin over a Senior head now. Actually....in that picture it's all 4 MAZ Juniors....2 Heads on top of 2 Combos. In the other picture of Scotty playing (With Lindy Fralin) it's a MAZ Junior Combo with a Senior Head on top. That way, besides having a simple back-up, you also have the flexibility to run either the Junior or Senior through the Combo's Speaker.....depending upon how much power or clean headroom you may desire.
