Bill, is that little Maz Jr. a production model? Very cool! Whoops! - Hi benttop, sorry took so long to spot your question! (...& funny there's no instant email notification here like there is on all the other forums I belong to...) Certainly used to be a production model. I remember many pics being of that size, though when I first got mine in 1999 it was a 2X10 in a regular sized red tolex cabinet. At the time, I needed something smaller that I could easily lug about to small gigs on busses, trams and taxis (& ferries / boats to gigs on the outlying islands), & also missed the Celestion alnico blues I'd had in my vintage Voxes back in UK in the 70's & 80's... - so the good Doctor kindly helped my 'kill two birds with one stone', & rehoused my amp in an old "small box" sized cabinet, complete with alnico blue. No idea why the 'small box' design was retired from regular production - bad move IMHO - maybe to standardize all combos with the same cab? Mine's still going strong despite 9 years of regular heavy gigging. Great amp, by the way, best I've had - including several very early Vox & Marshalls.
