The last few days I have picked up on a buzz, not a rattle but a buzz when I am playing on my lower strings. E and A. Could this be string to fret buzz or rattle? I do have my action set pretty low. The guitar is a PRS McCarty. This a brand new Maz 38 sr. 1X12 combo. I know boutique amps are more sensitive to string noise.
Then a little later after playing for about 20 minutes I noticed kind of a dirty tone with out having any pedals engaged. Volume at 9, Master volume at 2 to 3. I would think I would be getting very clean tones at those volume settings.
Entertain any thoughts or comments on these two situations?

Could this be legendary tube rattle? How do the tube dampers work? Anyone have any experience with them?

I had a Maz Jr. combo with a buzz that ended up coming from the plastic front and back panels on the chassis. Took me some time to find the cause and deal with it. Both panels were a bit loose in some spots. I pulled the chassis out and used silicon to "glue" the panels tighter.
