Hi everyone. I was hoping to try one or two of the Maz mods on my Maz jr or senior. I did the slope resistor change to add more lows and preferred it as it was originally. I would like to try the 1st mod which puts a negative feedback loop on V1 but I don't know what voltage value the cap should be. Should it be say 800 volts or at that point would a 50 volt cap suffice? Buster

Why would you want to put negative feedback on V1? Don't mod your Z amp, get a silver face fender or traynor, they are hand wired, relatively inexpensive, and can be improved upon with mods.

It was one of the mods suggested by the Doc himself on this forum in the "News From Dr. Z" section.

I think I'd go with a 600V cap.

Hey thanks for all the replies everyone and thanks Doc 001 for the link. That answers the question perfectly. I think it's good to try what variables you can when you have the opportunity. Buster

Don't mind Jimmyboy he's the guy that does the repairs here and most often has to remove a non-authorized mod or two to make an amp work again.
