I use a bit of reverb in small rooms (and at home). I've been through a bunch and settled on the Mr Springgy. It's the best I've found outside of a tank, but then I use little enough that likely any reverb pedal would do.

My $0.02. Reverb is great when you're noodling by yourself. Not really necessary in a live (loud) setting. Kind of gets lost. I like this guy.

The Hermida Reverb or the Mr. Springgy sure sound fine with the Ghia!

I only use reverb as an 'effect'. I don't leave it on all the time. I leave it off most of the time.

Don't use 'verb live…..I've tried to like it.

I gotta have just a smidge to be comfy. Wish I could figger out the best way to do it w/ a Ghia (besides gettin' a Z-Verb and a matching road case, which would effectively double the excess baggage charge for that piece. I'd use a pedal but I just can't get 'em to work fer me.

I didn't use verb with my Ghia. Just a little analog delay when I needed it. I haven't found a satisfactory verb pedal yet. My thinking now is that if I want reverb I'll just save for a tank. Whether it be a vintage Fender or a new Z-Verb. I wouldn't go with one of the re-issue tanks from Fender.

I'd use my Ghia a lot more if it had reverb. I use my Maz Sr reverb head + 1x12/Gold + Airbrake on gigs, but at times the Ghia with its lower power would be more suitable. A reverb pedal just doesn't work the same, particularly if the amp is breaking up a bit.
I've often thought of changing the Ghia for a Maz Jr/rev head, but my Sr is, for me, better sounding, and volume-wise the Ghia is slightly quieter than a Jr, so suits me better.

I use a TC Electronics HOF Mini Reverb...sounds great and clean doesn't muddy up the sound or tone...I was blown away by it's sound. You can also download other reverbs from users and TC's site ... great little unit...

Stopped in the local guitar shop and tried the TC HOF mini. Very nice with just the one sound it has preloaded (I think it was a Hall type) and i was able to blend in just a smidge. Amazingly small, light weight BIG sounding and very clean. i could imagine having it velcroed inside the cab of my Ghia. If it ran on a battery I'd have walked out with it. I'm still debatin'.

The Ghia was responsible for end of my desire for reverb. Prior to Ghia I ALAWYS used 'verb (my /13 SJT 10/20 had it & so did my old Peavey Classic 30 ) but with the Ghia I've just lost my need for it. Like a couple others said ... live it just gets lost anyway to me and can muddy up the sound, alone in a room and I just use a little delay to "soften" the sound, however I am finding that I do even that less and less.....O how I love my Ghia.

I also stopped using reverb when I got the Ghia. Don't miss it. And I used to use it all the time on my old Peavey.

I use an Hermida reverb with my CG25th; the first one they did with the vaguely summer of love graphic, a single chicken head knob, and - broadly - a Deluxe type sound. Very simple, and sounds great; discontinued, following the Hermida Audio financial meltdown, and not a pedal being re-manufactured by Lovepedal (who've picked up the Zendrive, for example). They appear from time to time on the Bay of E.
Also just acquired a TC Hall of Fame mini (it really is very small), but haven't tested it at all thoroughly; first impressions are that you need the shorter verbs to work well with the Ghia, although the ambient cathedral/church models are pretty impressive if you're doing that 'theme for a movie that hasn't been made' sort of music.

Im a reverb lover- blackface fender guy. But my z amps have no reverb. Most of the time i dont miss it at all. Like with the Zwreck, its so dimensional It has a feeling of reverb even though its not there. The ghia to me has less of that. But similar.

When i bought my Ghia in 2010, I was fine with going without verb because you just don't need it in a live situation But i recently bought a tc electronics reverb pedal similar to their HOF and I really like it for practicing. I find it to be a super quiet through my 1x12 ghia combo.

I use a Neunaber Wet Reverb (Expanse Series) for Reverb and other effects (delay, trem, chorus, phaser etc.). It's super quiet, lots of reverb types available, great buffer, great headroom. It doesn't clip when pushed hard by ODs and/or boosters, that's mandatory for me. I run my Ghia on the verge of breakup so the reverb stays quite clean even when I hit the strings hard.

and... Holy crap... this has to be one of the oldest threads on the zboard. just shows how timeless the z amps are! The ghia now is the ghia in 50 years and was the ghia 10 years ago. So the old thread is new to the people who are new to the amp...same amp the whole time...timeless

While I've only had my Ghia a short time, I have used my J Rockett Boing pedal through it and like it. Councidentally, none of my amps or heads have reverb. I tried several well regarded pedals before settling on the Boing. It has one knob, just like the amps I think have the best sounding 'verb. For me, simpler is better.

On amps with reverb I'll use just a tiny bit, but I don't miss it on non reverb amps. I can't even tell it's there when I'm live.
