Congratulations Nicholas. That is one insanely beautiful guitar. I've played my friends Anderson. IMHO, an Anderson is about as good as it gets quality wise. They're beautifully made instruments.

That is Dangerous! Looks great
What is with the two buttons on the bottom of the guitar in the video? They looked like strap buttons?

That is Dangerous! Looks great What is with the two buttons on the bottom of the guitar in the video? They looked like strap buttons? Though I didn’t look at the video, Anderson and older Schecter guitars (I had one) have two strap buttons on the but end which allows for a more stable rest - against your amp - between sets with two points of contact vs. the one strap button found on most guitars. May not be true, but works for me! ME

I have a TA Tele and it has 2 strap buttons also, gives more range on how you like the guitar to “hang”! I absolutely love my TA it is now my favorite by far! I did put different PU’s in it though.

What an amazing instrument. I'm truly blown away. The build, fit, finish, playability, tone is incredible. I went with the ET neck. Which stands for even taper. There is minimal increase in neck depth all the way up. It's available in a slim version, and several thicker increments. Mine is the standard ET and it's really, really comfortable. Thinner than I thought I'd like. But it's fantastic. The neck finish is a super smooth satin that doesn't get gummy or sticky. Really smooth. It's carmel maple and looks nice. Has a little bit of flame. The fretwork is something like I've never felt before. Each stainless fret is like a perfectly crafted jewel. I've never felt frets so comfortably smooth and slippery. I didn't even know frets could feel like this. The wedge neck pocket seems to be a logical solution to neck shifting. Lots of contact area and impossible to shift laterally. The top is nuts. Love the color matched logo This seems to be a do absolutely anything instrument. It rips for the higher gain stuff like nobody's business. Lots of cut and clarity. In full humbucker they sound similar to a medium hot PAF but with a wider bandwidth. More highs and lows. The sustain into feedback is amazing, on every fret! I really love the pickups and the switching scheme. So many options! Through my JAZ position 2 and 4 are beautiful. Theres something going on with these humbuckers. I've never heard one spilt so well. The Baby Floyd Rose tremolo is really comfortable under hand. I like this "non finetuner" version much better than the double locker. I also welcome not having to deal with a locking nut. Stays in tune really great. Can't seem to knock it out no matter how hard I try lol. I'll just shut up. Clearly in the honeymoon phase and clearly gushing . Sorry. I am super impressed with this instrument. This is way beyond my capabilities, I'm blessed to have it. This is a life long companion for sure.

Man, that’s a cool instrument. I’ve never seen a neck fitting like that. I was a bit leery when I saw only two bolts securing the neck, but when I saw that neck joint it made perfect sense. That really requires perfect tolerance to get that right. And that necks not going anywhere. And no neck pocket finish cracks either. Love it!!

Tom calls it the A-Wedgie. Here's some info on it if anyone is interested www.andersonguitarworks.com/wedge. I changed the strings when I got it. Tuned it up. It's still perfectly in tune. Even after excessive tremolo madness . I don't know how it's even possible.

I know it’s a sin to covet thy neighbor’s guitar, but man I want one of these. But, there’s a CAZ in my near future and I can’t take my eyes off the ball. I can’t believe I didn’t now much if anything about Tom Anderson guitars. A few months ago I played a used one here n town and was very impressed with it. It was gone shortly afterwards so there went that deal.

^ CAZ in my future too. Super excited about that amp release! Luckily I'll have to June or so to get back on track for that monster.

The Angel is taking all of my play time. It's so easy and comfortable to play. I did find the middle pickup to get in the way of my picking. I think it might be that it's a 24 fret guitar and the humbuckers are closer together, then adding a single coil between them feels a bit crowded to me. I had questions about it going in. I figured I could always get a 2 humbucker guard if it was really a problem. I wanted to give it a try and very glad I did. What I did was simply lower the middle single coil flush to the pickguard, nothing revolutionary, but no longer any picking issues. It gives a cool texture to position 2 and 4 when playing clean. It also still sounds good on it's own. Being primarily a dirty tone guy, and a single channel amp guy, I'm used to using my GV for cleans. The GV on this guitar works great. Basically the entire range of the knob, maybe 3-10 on the dial is useful before cutting the volume too much. Took some getting used to as my Gibsons seem to work primarily in the 7-10 range. Having the middle single coil and setting it low offers a quick "clean channel". It's a cool alternative to the GV. Cleans up a dirty tone nice and adds some single coil sparkle. Super cool. It's definitely worth having the middle pick up options, so it's gonna stay. One nice thing is pulling the tone pot out eliminates the middle pickup on position 3 and puts on both humbucker. So I don't lose the both humbucker on position by having the middle pu. Both on with the cold split is a great semi dirty tone. So it's nice to have both options. The middle pickup adds some really, really cool tones and features and I don't lose anything by having it. After getting used to it, I'd definatelty miss the options without it. This guitar is just great.

That neck pocket seems like such a great idea. Wonder if that is a patented improvement or if we may see other builders start to copy that.

Along with SS frets as a standard feature and overall impeccable quality, I know what my next guitar will be. After the CAZ purchase of course.
