The FedEx man brought this today. It's the 2655T and even though it's not an expensive USA model, I gotta tell you all that this thing plays great and the build is excellent. All I'm gonna need to do is string it with my favorite set and maybe tweak the saddles with my trusty old Stroboconn. Oh...and I bought a Vibramate String Spoiler to make string changing easier. Before I decided on this particular model I went over to GC and played several different guitars from their overseas line and was highly impressed with every one of them.

Gotta tell you LT, that’s one of those guitars that makes you clutch your chest when you first see it. It’s just spectacular. Enjoy it in good health!

One trick I'm aware of for tuning stability with that type of Bigsby is to run the strings over the front bar instead of under; it's a YouTube fix that appears to actually work. None of my Gretsches have that type of Bigsby, though, so I haven't actually tried it myself.

I'm not a fan because of what it does to the response of the guitar. If you are really having problems due to the bridge, Tonepros has a roller tune-o-matic that will fix that.

I restrung it using the "over the bar" method and it works, but does change the tone and feel. Has anyone tried this? Looks like a compromise. bricksbiggsfix.com/

Lou, that is one sweet looking guitar. I really dig the color...it's a great shade of blue, man. Congrats, it's perfect!

If you are really having problems due to the bridge, Tonepros has a roller tune-o-matic that will fix that. I ordered one of those and stuck it on my Rev Horton Heat, which had a chronic tuning stability issue, and dang if it doesn't seem to have fixed it, even unto fairly extreme Bigsby-whanging. Thanks for the tip--I've always loved the tone and cosmetics of the Rev Horton, but the tuning issue was making me a little crazy. Problem 99% solved--thinking I might do the same thing for my Setzer Hotrod.
