Alrighty... I’ve got about $200 in despicable cash to go toward my board. I’m thinking about adding an octave fuzz back to the mix. I’ve had the Octafuzz multiple times and love it. So two questions... is there another octave fuzz in the $200 and below range that is as good (even if slightly different) or better? I’m not interested in suboctave pedals.
Second question, is there something else (even if not in the fuzz camp) that I’m missing out on?
I have: Analogman Comprossor Aman Sunlion Aman Envelope Filter Aman KOT RYRA The Klon Aman Bad Bob JHS Unicorn Tapestry Volume Pedal Aman ARDX20 Caroline Meteore Alexander Conductor v2
I’m open to things even if they overlap with or possibly replace something I have.

I'll gladly take all "despicable" cash you wish to get rid of Oh, you meant disposable cash?
Lots of nice stuff on your list.

Are any of those phase/flange/trem pedals? What about a wah?

Hahaha yes I meant disposable. Silly autocorrect! I have the RYRA and I think it’s now my favorite drive, despite being an Analogman fanboy.
The envelop filter gets me all the wah-ish needs I have. I’m a big fan of 70s rock, but never really liked using a wah for some reason. The conductor is a trem and the unicorn is a Univibe type pedal (same camp as flange and phase, but I do really like two stage phasers since they can be vibe-ish).

For an octave fuzz, I like the Pigtronix Octava mini. Or, if you want to go full on Reverend Billy, the MXR La Machine is awesome in an over-the-top, about to blow up kind of way. It's a discontinued pedal, but NOS La Machines are still floating around.

Hmm…looking at your current pedals I’m inclined to suggest a Strymon Flint (reverb tremolo). New they’re $300 but used, if you’re patient, you can find them for $230-250. More than your disposable income, but would add a new sound to your board.

Isold the flint when I got a z verb, but got the meteore as a backup and for ambience. Other pedals I am interested in if anyone has experience (some of these are above my budget, but I could probably stretch to $200 if it’s really great): Greer Soma Chase Bliss Audio Condor Hudson Broadcast Strymon Deco (breaks my previously stated rule against digital)

If you're a compressor guy (keep it always-on), I can't recommend enough the Cali76. It's big, heavy and expensive, but it's the best by far I've ever used and I'm done buying comps. I've owned AM comps (coupla Juicers, Comprosser, Bi-Comp) and the Cali is the winner IMO. You might want to consider using the $$ toward one.

I've not had AM comps, but have done Keeley and on old MXR Dyna Comp (vintage). Both of the latter are gone.

There may be a normal cali76 (3 knob) locally if my buddy still has it. Another friend has the compact deluxe (6 knob) and another of our friends has the original maroon big box. I have been tempted by the sliderig most. Do you guys have any experience with it?

Origin Effects has a newer version of the Cali76 CD (the six-knob one) that has dual compressors like the Slide Rig: Cali76 Stacked. It's, of course, more $.

Their sliderig Mkii has six knobs as well, but it’s in the range of possibilities if I sell my Analogman comprossor. I almost never turn on compression, but I don’t know if it’s because I’ve not found one I mesh with or because I don’t like it. I don’t hate the aman comprossor, just rarely find a need to use it.

I tend to use the trem side of my Flint way more than my vibe or chorus. That is why it has stayed on my board even though I don't use the reverb side that much any more. It has been supplanted by a Keeley 30MS, which is a VERY useful pedal. So I have been looking for a smaller footprint trem pedal that sounds as good as the bias setting on the Flint. I think I am sold on the Supro trem. The best I have heard. A good trem is very underrated and does not muddy a signal like most mod-type effects.

If you pickup the Supro trem, id love to hear your thoughts. The Flint trem is hands down the best pedal trem I’ve used and I don’t like admitting that. I’ve got a Matthews Effects Conductor right now. It’s ok, but not my cup of tea.

Maybe better than the one on my JAZ (now gone). Hard to believe I am saying that. I don't own one so have not giged with it.

I gave the Conductor a whirl at church this morning. It sounds good in a mix, but not to my ears when alone. The stinky part is that playing alone is where pedals tend to inspire me most. I find myself stripping things back live.

zpilot I couldn’t get on with the Conductor so I moved it yesterday and ordered a Supro trem this morning. Having a console transformer sold me on it.

Its not a sub octave though. It is about as close to Hendrix Band of Gyspys as you can get.

I’m very much into the octave up fuzzes tho. Unrelated, I picked up a Park Fuzz in trade yesterday. It’s been impressive so far. I don’t know if it’ll make the cut just because I have a Sunlion, but it’s definitely one of the better fuzzes I’ve had.

I will more then likely give it a shot the price is reasonable and he makes really good pedals. its silicon chasetone.com/fuzz-fella-blue-bc108c/The sunlion is a fantastic fuzz I had one for a while as well. Its a really good germanium fuzz that sunlion. I am more into germanium fuzz tones I have a jam pedals Fuzz phrase and that is by far the best fuzz I ever owned. Its pretty much super glued to my board. Just a fat warm buttery fuzz with great clean up. It also has the perfect amount of sustain. This fuzz fella is suppose to have great clean up as well...

Chase Tone is a company that I’ve been interested in for a while. I’ve been keeping my eye on their germanium fuzz face as well. I’ve heard it’s incredible.

Welp... the Supro Tremolo came in today. It’s a phenomenal drive pedal on its own (roll off the depth and the trem goes away). The trem is even better than I had hoped. It blows the Flint trem out of the water.
