i thought this was a b-grade piece of garbage loosely based on Howard Kaylan's autobiography but turns out he wrote the screenplay. i think the movie is terrible and not worth the time but a lot of people online seem to think it's fantastic.
oh, well. maybe you should watch it and decide for yourself.
the book on the other hand, Shell Shocked: My life with The Turtles, Flo and Eddie and Frank Zappa, etc. is easy reading fun.
One of those amazing stories coming out of the mid-60's and the glory days of getting a hit single and becoming a national touring act.
lots of sex, drugs and rock and roll.

Huge Turtles/Zappa/Flo+Eddie fan. The book was an okay read, but I’ve heard Howard talk before and he seems better off the cuff than in print. I’ll probably stay away from this movie. Thank you for posting this.
