Hi guys! I wanted to swap a few of the plastic shaft pots on my Dr. Z Remedy MV head to solid shaft metal ones. Can anyone provide exact pots I"ll need with the values included? It would be needed for the Bass, and Normal and High Gain pots. Anyone know why the Doc would use plastic instead of solid metal? Thanks!

One question would be why would you want to swap them out if they are working OK? If they are OK for Doc to use, then they are the right part for the job. Doc doesn't cut corners.
One possible reason why is that the values he uses aren't available in metal shaft pots from the manufacturer. I've seen in some past instances that plastic shaft pots were used because of possible grounding or noise issues.

First the values are Eatched on the back of the CTS pots. And Lefty is right I use the Plastic shaft ones because I like the Audio tapper better on them then the metal shaft ones. Subtle but I notice it, and like the smoother acting plastic shaft ones. There is nothing wrong with them, the pots on most Guitars are plastic shaft , a smoother sweep and better tapper.

Thanks Lefty and Doc! I knocked one of knobs with the headstock of my guitar and it knocked it a little loose. That was the original reason I was asking. The pot seems to be perfectly functional so I might not mess with it

Did the headstock make it through okay? Hopefully it wasn’t a Gibby

It was a Gibby SG Special! But nothing seems to destroy this thing. Been across the country many times. It even fell out the back of our moving van once in a crappy case and survived. It flew out an open window but persevered. Thanks y'all!
