I think there are a number of SLO-in-a-box pedals out there including the Soldano Supercharger which is a monster size pedal that Soldano used to make. I'm not super familiar with them, but assume it's based around the preamp of the SLO. More readily available(and not selling for upwards of $600 used) is the Wampler SLOstortion. I believe this is also no longer being made, but should be easier to track down for a reasonable price.
hope this helps!

so, my quest found me this... anyone have experience with the pedal or the company, Weehbo? They seem to be very nice, higher end pedals.

Wampler Slostortion
Great Pedal, Bodega Ray gave me a great deal on it.
Do you want to try it. I could send in a rather diverse care package.

i like the sound of the Wampler in the online demo's but i actually like the config of the Weehbo better. It seems to function a bit more true to how a real SLO works. where the weebho lets you use a footswitch to go from crunch to drive, the Wampler has a boost (which i already have) and I don't like the selector for overdrive and crunch on the Wampler.
but, maybe I'm wrong. ??

Picked up a slightly used one of these at a good price. Sounds great through my home recording rig. Gonna run it through the Ghia at rehearsal this evening. Will make a video later this week.

Mike (Soldano) knows how to get there.

I played Jaguarguy (Mike)'s Soldano Supercharger G.T.O. once. I think that thing used straight-up 120V wall power, and it felt like it just sent all that juice straight into the amp. WILD pedal, very fun. The only thing as hair-raising might've been plugging into the actual SLO-100 in his man cave. We were sitting far across the room... thank goodness for 20' cables.

Mike said he couldn't get the machined aluminum sides any longer. I believe that the sides are the only difference between new and old models.
