This has probably been discussed here before, but here goes anyway ...
Looking for your opinion on what's nearest a Celestion Blue in a 10" speaker. My best guess is either a C-Gold or a Weber Blue Pup. Have any experience with either or both of these? Some other speaker is closer? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I thought the Eminence alnico was somewhat similar. Can’t remember the name, but Doc used them in the Monza combo. Weber makes a 10” alnico called the Blue Pup that is about as close as it gets. I have one in a Princeton that I love.

I've had blues and golds, but when I got a 10" Ghia combo, I put Celestion's (relatively new at the time) 10" gold in it. It was great. Celestion really did a great job with that speaker. Yes, I suppose if you A/B against a 12" blue-gold, you could tell the difference (a little less bass, a little more mids) but otherwise, it's definitely in the blue-gold tone camp.

KC - if you want to try a 10” gold mine is sitting in Mentor on the Lake calling your name. Let me know if you want to check it out for a while.

That Gold made me a believer in the Ghia, before hearing your amp with the gold I didn't get it...
