I have a Kemper and I have an HX Stomp which has the full Helix engine in it. For my money, the Kemper is leaps and bounds ahead of the HX based devices. If I was going in right now, I'd get that new Kemper floor unit, as it is the full Kemper product in a floor system. Just be aware that the better profiles come with a price. They have a huge free library, and there are some good profiles in there, but it's hard to find them when you have to sift through five bazillion duds. Buy some commercial profiles and be thrilled.
BTW, if you do decide to go Helix, you can get commercial profiles for those too. And they are a lot better than the factory sounds.

I just ordered an HX Stomp yesterday. In my case it's a matter of "the right tool for the job". My current gig has been mostly acoustic based but I want to introduce some electric for some tunes. For reasons of space, convenience, simplicity, and stage volume, I didn't want to deal with two rigs/two amps. I've done some research and watched some clips/demos and I think modeling has come quite a distance these past few years. I'm actually excited to get it up and running. My acoustic effect needs are pretty basic - compression, reverb, a delay or two. For electric I don't plan on going too nuts - probably a Fenderish patch, some edge of breakup dirt, a delay or two, etc. All that is to say that I think the HX Stomp will suffice for my needs. I'm also looking forward to playing with it at home through my QSC speakers to get those big huge stereo tones.
My tube amp isn't going anywhere.

I bought some Michael Britt profiles for my HX Stomp and ran it into my Atomic CLR. Sounds pretty decent and you get quite a few good profiles. Some of them aren't quite finished, but that's easy to fix. The most important thing is they come with three IRs that are referenced from the profiles and tame some of the harsh top end of the factory profiles. Worth looking into if you want some nice warm tones. It does come with a number of Fender amps.
