I realize what I'm asking is totally opinion, and ultimately it comes down to what I feel. I never thought I would be saying this. But I am considering trying to work a deal swapping my Antidote for a Therapy. I played a Therapy and I liked that I could dial in edge of break-up on the Therapy a little easier than the Antidote. I think it's the Master Volume on the Therapy. Even with the Antidote and an AirBrake volume is tough. I do love the tone and feel of the Antidote, but I want to maintain my hearing. So this is really a tough decision to make. Has anyone had to make that decision? Anyone have any tidbits of wisdom to share? I wonder if a Master Volume could be added to the Antidote? ------------Update: Dateline 8/30/19----------------------------------- Today I let my Antidote leave in favor of a Therapy. I hated to do it, but there was a local Therapy in beige (tried to get them to swap my green cabinet but they thought they might ruin store's reputation) at a local music store. So we swapped my Antidote and a few bucks for the Therapy. I thought I'd never let the Antidote go, but my ears have been ringing and the Antidote packs such a wallop that even with AirBrake on, it was still tough. The Therapy's master volume allowed me the hair and extra break-up that volume would only achieve on the Antidote. I'm going to miss that Antidote, but the Therapy I know gives me a sound I desire at a volume which benefits my tinnitus. Haven't had but time at the store and about ten minutes at home. Over the next couple of days, I'll cycle the guitar collection. I may look to trade cabinets or consider a re-tolex on the Therapy head, but then again it may grow on me as did the surf green. .

I absolutely LOVE loud high power amps! Bassmans, Marshall’s, more Marshall’s...you get the picture. Only problem is, I never get a real chance to use them in the right setting. This is why my Therapy will always be a keeper (unless I can trade for a black Therapy rig).
The therapy just works for everything and when I do get a chance to really crank up, the Therapy is capable of doing it.

I'd vote for the Antidote - so much more Marshally to my ears (I have them both). With the vintage setting it is just so versatile.

You and I both have the same love of the Antidote. I'm having a tough time, because I fear my ears may be paying a price for that love.

Therapy. If you haven’t tried KT77s or EL34s in there you need to.

I think the Therapy's mid control offers much versatility to a setup. Turn the mids all the way down and you get a good "backface" sound. Turn it up to noon, you get a great "tweed" sound. Turn it all the way up, you get a great "marshally" sound. Different tubes will expand the tonal landscape even further.

Owned both still have the Therapy. LOVED the Antidote just not as versatile as the Therapy.

people do put master volumes in marshall-style negative feedback amps, like the antidote. and with doc's universal approach to chassis design, there might be spare holes, not sure. not sure how they sound, or if it's worth modifying the amp, but, it can probably be done.

I think you'll love the Therapy. ILuvPunz has used on on the other side of the stage for years. It always, sounds killer. And that master volume make a HUGE difference when your playing smaller venues!
What local store had it?

And if you don't like the Surf Green cabinet, I'll swap. They also have the matching beige Z-Best cabinet. It's the updated lighter cabinet. It was tempting but too much for me at this point.
