I wanted to make sure my Z28 4X10 is plugged into the correct speaker jack. Is it the 4or 8 ohm jack. Thank you

the speakers would have to be 16 ohms,
Therefore, 16 ohms in parallel with 16 ohms is 8 ohms,
Therefore, 4 speakers would be two 8 ohm parallel circuits making it a 4 ohm load.

They could also all be 8 ohm speakers wired in either series-parallel or parallel-series.

I believe both the standalone Z 4x10 cab and the Z28 4x10 combo are wired for 4 ohms.

I always check mine with a multimeter before plugging in if I don't know. Plugging into the cabinet on one side of the speaker cable and taking the resistance across the + and - of the other lead, making hard contact, will give you an approximate load (I do this a couple of times to make sure that I didn't make a mistake) and then plugging into the nearest number on the amp.

then plugging into the nearest number on the amp. Friendly amendment: nearest number on amp less than measured load?

If you're using the multi-meter method then you're reading resistance, not impedance. If your reading is say 6.7 ohms, then the impedance of the speaker is 8 ohms. The resistance will vary with frequency...the multi-meter reading is at 0 Hz.
