.. most of you are thinking either “what rock did you just crawl out from under?” or, “tell me something I don’t already know”. I’m hoping my noob position into the Monza club will serve as a PSA for anyone who is considering selling theirs.
I recently purchased a used 2010 Monza 1x10 from GC. Good deal .. not a great deal. I probably paid about 100 bones over market, but I consider that a premium required for the option to return it in 45 days. Note .. it will not be returned.
1. There is no hype about the volume this thing creates. The 1x10 Red Fang sounds enormous. 2. I’ve been running the master at about 3 o’clock. Volume at 9 and gain at 9ish. Tone at noon. That right there sounds great with my LPs, Strats and Teles. 3. I’ve been running an Xotic BB, Suhr Riot and H9 in front .. this amp has no issue with pedals from my perspective. All of my guitars have lower output pups so I’m using the amp and a little bit of pedal .. on occasion.. for grainier stuff. 4. This little thing will easily cover Beatles to Foo Fighters in my cover band. 5. I ride the volume knobs on all of my guitars .. this amp responds great to that. I would imagine that if you play with your volume wide open all the time, this could get hard to tame. 6. My other amps are a Germino LV55, Soldano HR50+, Budda SD30, Sommatone OD35, Tyler Amps 20/20 and Marshall 2061x. One of the others may need to go ... the Monza will stay.

Congrats on a great amp! The Monza was initially billed as a "Billy in a box" referring to the tone Billy Gibbons gets out of his amps. It gets that tone in spades. And, as you've found out it is loud! One of Doc's finest amps!

I’ll second the above and add that with the vol, master, and drive up high you’ll get one of the best fuzz tones imaginable. No pedals required.

Right on...it never fails to blow them away when they hear the tone and authority that comes out of that little amp! Every time I think about selling my Monza I plug into it, play, and it stays with me.
All that tone from a 1x10 combo?!? C'mon, man!

i used the amp for the first time at rehearsal last night .. two things happened.
- i had a smile on face most of the night - bandmates asked me a few times to turn down (volume at 9 o'clock, gain at 10 oclock, tone at noon, master at 3 o'clock.
I used a custom tele with Dimarzio Areas and played everything from the stones to U2 to Foo Fighters .. pretty remarkable I'd say.

I’m wondering through a bunch of new amps and I am starting to feel the same about the Monza although I wrote it off at first. I’m starting to think this is an answer to my Marshall/Remedy/DB4 cravings. It’s up against some stiff competition though: Mazerati GT, Carmen Ghia, and Z Wreck.
I feel like this is one of the more responsive amps to my playing. I thought the Wreck was super touch sensitive, but this one might take the cake. If I were playing without pedals, the Monza would probably win hands down. But I do use pedals (I’ve not plugged my board up with it yet) so we shall see.

It's a lot of fun in a guitar>cable>amp situation.
