I would fire it up, don't need to play it and let the caps warm up for a couple of hours. They like getting warm every so often. Or so I'm told. Likely they will be fine if you wait a bit. I like to get amps hot at least every six months, because of the caps thing. There may be others who know more, but that's my take.

You lose your man card for one
It won't hurt it to sit for a while

You’ll be fine. Although it might be cranked at you for ignoring it for so long. Let’s hope yours is even tempered. In my house, my Marshall is probably going to raise holy h*ll for being left on my work bench for a year. Life happens.

It's cool. I just fired up an amp I built a couple of years ago for the first time in well over a year and a half. No problems.

Thanks for the replies fellas.I'm gonna set it up (with a cabinet)and let it run awhile(as Marc suggested)every weekend until I get situated for rocking.

If im storing a combo in closet/with cover over it...I like to use those moisture packs to make sure speaker ect doesn't get well boogered.

well later than predicted is my M.O,so I just dug it out and plugged in today-no problems, running cool and quiet.sounded meh,but that is because the master was on 6 30.I havent soundproofed a space yet and want to be a good neighbor. But still good to blow off some steam.
