I'll admit that I've owned a TS-9 over 20 years ago. After that, I got involved in the Boutique Pedals that really started up around the same time. My first one being the Fulltone Fulldrive 2. I've come a long way since then and have gone through (I don't know how many) pedals. All of them have been good, if not great pedals. Then, around 2010, I started using less and less pedals. Buddy Whittington is to blame for this. Last week, I decided to go and get a TS-9. I found it pleasing. It was like an old friend had come to visit. I set the Therapy for Bluesy breakup with the guitar volume on 10 (the new Les Paul Gold Top with P90s) and kick on the TS for the "over the top" overdrive. I'm digging it. Yep, an Old Fashioned Tube Screamer. For $99.00 no less.

I still dig the sound of a TS. I have an original 808 and the new TS Mini (which sounds great and takes up almost zero board space). I've also owned a reissue 808 w AM mod and the handwired model. They all sounded great.

It is still my favorite single pedal.

There's solid reasons that they are the classic pedal that endures. They work well! The voicing is just right, especially with single coils, to put a solo right up front in the mix.
