Heck - 3 gigs in one week after having a year and a half off. This particular band I'm in has been together since '89. Rarely do we practice, and only learn a new song if it has been requested (and for the most part never play it again). We also don't go looking for gigs - they just seem to come to us, and since we don't do the 8pm to midnight venues we sometimes don't see much work (or play). We did a gig at an outdoor BBQ and community gathering in my old neighborhood of Redlands. I took the Cure, 2 guitars, and pedals WITH power. By the time I arrived at the event at 4pm the temps went from 98 degrees at my house to 106. We set up and started at 5, then played to 8. This fine amp, AGAIN, sounded stellar with my Legacy whether dialed in clean or a bity dirty at the amp. After two sets I grabbed the McCarty solid body and dayum if those HB's didn't sound excellent as well - I rec'd compliments all afternoon & evening. And isn't it funny how a Z amp with the right guitar makes you play that much better! It just coaxes riffs and ideas out of you that have been begging to come out for years if not decades. I do have regrets selling my Z28, Remedy, and Maz 18, but for what gigs I am playing now I have the perfect set up. I don't think other lower wattage "factory" amps can deliver like my Z's. I am truly blessed!

i will sell you back the z-28 if you need? I'm in a great place re amps right now Dave. Even with a Brakelite at 2 clicks the 28 had too much unused power - never was able to get it past 11 on the volume. Same with the Remedy @ 20 watts or the Maz 18. The Cure and Maz 8 get the break up and tone I have in my mind that the others couldn't achieve because of volume restrictions.
