My first post on the Z-talk forum!
When I place my combined reverb/delay pedal in my effects loop, it is easily overdriven. I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with the amp or the pedal, just that the pedal does not have the headroom for the effects loop.
I'm looking for recommendations for spring reverb emulator and/or delay pedals that play nicely with the Cure's effects loop. Also, is there anything I can do to fix this issue to avoid having to sell my current pedal and buy another? Thanks.
BTW, the cure is such a useful and dependable amp. Go out and buy one if you're sitting on the fence!
Thanks.

Welcome to the group, it's a great place here. The Cure is a line level loop. A lot of effects have adjustable input/output sensitivity, so check to see if you can set your reverb/delay to a high, line level of +4dBu. I don't use loops much so I can't recommend one but I'm sure someone will respond with some suggestions. Good luck, it's a great amp. I love mine!

Welcome! I use a Strymon Flint in my Cure, having experimented with other pedals. The Flint sounds great, but best plugged straight into the front end. It works pretty well in the loop, much better than other pedals I tried which can be too easily overdriven, but but in the main input I find the tone is not affected at all, unlike in the loop when I hear the top end reduced slightly but noticeably.

Welcome to Z Talk.
What pedal are you having this issue with? Is running the pedal in front of the amp a viable option? (It may not be if you're relying on the Cure's ability to overdrive by cranking up the volume knob.)

I have a very northeast ohio centric rig. I'm using an Earthquaker Dispatch Master. I love it! Sounds great when placed in front of the amp. It sounds a bit better in the loop, at least when I have the pre-amp volume below 6 after which it clips. Also, I don't have to adjust the pedal on the fly as frequently when I place it in the loop.
