Glad you are enjoying it. The half power switch is a great option. You will love it.

The Stang is definitely picky when it comes to OD’s!
I like to push an amp with a compressor along with an OD when needed. For that amp the zen drive is a good starting point. Especially if you place another OD before it in the signal chain. It allows you have your normal settings, but makes the drive sound a little less harsh.

My Ray loves the JHS Sweet Tea overdrive, especially the Moonshine overdrive side! The Timmy and the Tumnus Deluxe sounds great as well.

I only find it picky with extreme EQ settings (Tone & cut above noon). With the Tone about 10:00 or 11:00 and the cut about 10:00 really lets the mids shine through a bit more and is much more pedal friendly than the way I used to play it (Tone and cut both around 2:00).

I will add the following pedals sound great with the Ray: XTS Precision Drive, Wampler Pantheon, Paisley Drive, Paisley Deluxe, Clarksdale, Hot Wired, JHS "AT"(Andy Timmons). The Klon Klone by our friend here on the forum: RYRA (Rock Your Repaired Amp) takes all the od and drive pedals into sonic ecstasy!
