Anybody out there making some good Gretch style pups beside's TV Jones? I have this crazy Idea to throw some in one of my PRS singlecuts.
"Well it's too late, tonight, to bring the past out into the light" (u2)
"well the last man standing get's to walk on the graves" (m.stanley)
"I have stopped instead of started,
and i have watched my children grow,
stood by graves of friends departed,
and found out just how much I do not know" (m.stanley)

Those Lollartrons sound GREAT. I said I'd never pull the harness out of my 335 again but listening to that clip makes me think that the '57 Classics might be in danger of replacement! Wow. I'll wait for my ears to heal before doing that though .

I got some Brian Setzer pickups for a Gretsch I had. Loved em! Sold the guitar, but kept the pickups. I actually had one of my teles routed to be able to mount them in the guitar. Man they sound awesome!
More gear than the law should allow. Why can't we be satisfied with one guitar, one amp and a few effects!?!
The thing about the Lollartrons is that they're designed as a drop-in fit for a standard Gibson humbucker rout. They're not meant to be a direct replacement for a Filtertron/Gretsch pickup--for that you'd probably want the TV Jones. Not sure if PRS pickups are the same size as Gibsons--I've got no experience with PRS guitars.
Not entirely relevant here, but I've got two Gretsches with TV Jones and one with whatever they're doing for Filtertrons these days, and the Filtertrons are bolder, fatter, and have more output, while the TVs in my Horton Heat have a warm, slightly underwound, more vintage sound. The TVs in my Setzer Hotrod are hot and bright. Love them all, and they're all great for different stuff, but if I could only keep one right now it'd be the Falcon.
Z-Lux combo: red/ZW Friedman Mini Dirty Shirley and matching cab Some modeling stuff that doesn't completely suck Coming soon to a guitar room near me: Z-Wreck Junior!
GuitarZ: They say you should be on the same page about kids before you get married. I really think you ought to talk about expectations on outdoor Christmas/Holiday lights. That could have been a game changer.

GuitarZ: Arggh! We had it on the calendar to stop out and see you but got caught up with holiday stuff. I could have met you & Frank & my wife could have connected with her friend from back in grade school. You snooze you lose. The FB videos sound great!

GuitarZ: Why is it once you finally clean the junk off your work bench, within 5 minutes, you find yourself ready to deposit some other junk right back on to that now clean space?

rossco: the variable e.q bypass is great because while bypassed it you get the raw sound of the amp without the e.q and everything else attenuating the signal which sounds great and a because its variable on the foot switch you can dial in to taste, 1/2 way I like

rossco: you don't have to fully bypass the tone stack which is great because gives you room to dial in your sound, it certainly thickens up the sound and adds nice growl/midrange growl. I don't like pedals so this replaces everything for me

easyed: It seems that the only time I clean off my workbench is when I need the space for something else. If I don't take a break, it's less than 5 minutes before that space is full again.
