can to many buffered pedals in a pedalboard circuit cause any problems? I have a buffer in my tuner, a buffer in my boost, and a stand alone buffer at the end of my chain.

I'm interested in this as well Martin. I have buffers in my Shure wireless, Cali76 and Chase Tone Secret Preamp which are always-on.

Three is probably not going to have any ill effects. I assume you have the tuner as the first pedal in your chain and that buffer is on all the time like in a Boss TU-3.
A good way to tell is to play using your pedalboard with everything off except the buffer at the end. Then play directly into the amp with a 12 foot cable and see if you can tell a difference. If there is none, or at least it is so small you can dial it out with a small amount of EQ in the amp, then I would not worry about it.
