I saw the trailer for this recently. Interested in watching it, for sure. I'm sure some parts I'd rather not see.

This miniseries has been very revealing. I was in my early 30's at the time of the accident, I never realized the danger the world was facing, may be how the Russians kept such a tight released of information. I am very impressed with the reenactment of events and setting HBO has brought to the screen. The viewer gets an inside look how a state government operates. After watching each episode [5th to air, June 3rd], visit this site for comments and clarifications. The information is given in episode Chronological order so one can avoid spoilers. screenrant.com/chernobyl-hbo-true-story-characters-aftermath-explained/

They talk about the 700k people who were sent (volun-told) to clean up. Oh and by the way, you'll be working in a radiation fallout area...that part they don't tell them. Different times, different world.

Holy moly that was something else. I liked how they used 'composite characters' to tell the story. Staggering in scope.

I don't know why I've "put off" watching this in lieu of watching crap I've seen before.... Maybe this weekend will be binge time....

When you do watch it make sure to watch the short few minute "inside the episode" bits after each one. Amazing info in those. There are only 5 episodes.
