Well despite already having a Kemper profiler, I needed something to get some time domain effects in front of my Ghia, so I pulled the trigger on a Line6 HX Stomp. I've been monkeying with it for a few days and I guess it will do for this use case. Thing is, I'm used to some pretty fine effects from a number of legendary guitar effects processors, so the Line6 stuff seems a bit weak on first blush. Part of it I'm sure is that I'm just not used to getting what I want from the controls that are available. That and I haven't had time yet to try each one of dozens of available possibilities for each type of effect.
Anyone else have one? Using it for reverb and delays (and maybe some chorus or rotary)? How are you liking yours?

Hi! Yes I love the Stomp. It replaced the old M series Line 6 box for me. Better audio fidelity, better switches, and better effects with the HX. I'd choose HX Stomp or HX Effects over M9. I'm using it mostly for delay and reverb. I also have a Strymon Timeline on the board which handles most of the delays, but there are a couple delays in the HX that I really love. I'm using it for all of my reverbs. I like the modulation in the HX, but I'm not a heavy modulation guy. I tend to use more tremolo than anything. I've had my fill of chorus, flanger, and phaser. I try to get away from that but sometimes you gotta use it. I do like a modulated delay. I also use a Strymon Deco which is only for a specific slight slapback that is on more than it's off. I tend to have the three main food groups - distortion, delay, and reverb. That tends to be my main recipe when it comes to pedals. Sometimes a little compression with a single coil. Here's my current pedalboard. I use a Therapy BTW. I tend to run it clean-ish. Maybe a little squish. I use pedals for most if not all of the gain. I like a big Fender type platform. I tend to use humbuckers and single coils pretty equally. I definitely am heavy on dirtboxes as well. I tend to like having them to have a lot of versatility and they are guitar/pickup specific.

I'm trying to do the opposite - a tiny board with one HX, one set of extension pedals, and one wah.

Yeah I'm usually looking to have as much firepower as I can.
