Neither pedal is that new to me, but it's been some time since I posted a pic of my gig board. Duellist is most recent addition, replacing the Strymon Riverside. JHS AT+ was installed a bit earlier. Both pedals are nicely responsive to guitar control adjustments. This board running into a Z covers all I need for gigs, unless I want reverb in a non-reverb amp. Even then, a little slap delay often suffices. I probably "should" use isolated power and a loop switcher, but that would be more space and weight. For now, the good old 1Spot works fine. (I haven't measured the current draw, but I'm sure it's way below what the 1Spot can produce.) The pedals from those UK lads are $$$, but build and sound quality is extremely high. PCNS interconnects, of course

Nice Mike! The Cali is fantastic. Those pedals are pricey but worth it. The Duelist seems like a great pedal. My pedal dealer sells those and I've been tempted in the past.

Congrats Mike! The duellist is an awesome pedal. Actually all of Kingtone Guitars pedals are really good.

Nice set up! I’m liking smaller boards more and more and could totally see this one fitting the bill for my needs.

This small board works really well for me and has a ton of gain staging options. With the Cali76 in between the two ODs, I can choose comp before or after OD. The boost in the AT+ is available even if the drive section is not engaged so, like the Duellist, it is two pedals in one.

If you don't mind me asking, how are you using the Cali76?
I'm looking at one, but only for even-ing out the string volume difference in my single coil guitars (esp while fingerpicking)....
Seems I don't need that in my bucker'd guitars as they tend to compress enough on their own....
(sorry for the thread deviation/diversion here....you can pm me if you prefer, thanks!)

His octaland pedal is very authentic probably the best octave pedal on the market. The only reason I don’t have it is I have a small board now. His mini fuzz is awesome as well. I had one but sold it to fund my Z-Master I found a jam pedals fuzz for a great price and once I bought the jam pedals fuzz phrase I stopped looking for fuzz pedals. The jam fuzz is just as good if not better.

Lee, I mix it up with the guitars. I use the compressor for several things: (1) some slide songs, but not all; (2) boost and even out things for clean stuff; and (3) some rhythm parts, with gtr vol rolled back. That's for performances. I use it a lot for clean to mildly overdriven sonic experiments with delays, trem, etc.

Thanks, Mike!

Thanks, Mike! It's a great pedal Lee. I use mine 'always on' as a slight boost and mild comp. Mine is before OD's, set very similar to Mike's. It goes against common sense, but it actually makes my guitars feel more 'alive'.

The thing with a comp like the Cali is that between the dry blend and playing with the attack and release you can keep that initial volume and crispness to the signal, but then let the bloom and decay linger as long as you like. Poof! More alive

Very nice, Mike! I've been trying to go to a smaller board but I invariably end up with more and more drives...again. It seems like depending on which amp and guitar combination I pick for a gig it requires a different drive pedal. I haven't been able to find one that covers all the bases. I guess I'm doomed to a big pedalboard existence...

In fact, other than a Flint in the loop, so far it's just been guitar and cable straight in with that amp. A Nova may be the one that let's you slim down the board.

Absolutely, my Nova is the only one I really use without any drive pedals, usually staying on the OD channel and using GV for rhythm/lead drive tone. I've got a little board with only ambience pedals that I usually use with it.
