Any way to get more "CLEAN" headroom out of the Cure? O.... Other tubes maybe? I notice the amp starts to break up very quickly, a pleasing tone, but I am just wondering.....

Re tubes, you could try a NOS 5751 in the V1 position - it has 25% less distortion than the 12ax7. You could also try a more efficient speaker. Let us know what you find out!

I looked at the tube configuration. 12 AX7 12 AX7 12AT7 6v6 6v6 You could try a 5751 in V1 that might take a little heat off and give a little more headroom. I would look at a high efficient speaker like the C Gold and a clean boost.

I vote speaker. I put an Eminence Lil Texas Neo in mine. 101.2 sensitivity and super light weight. Sounds great too!

I play with a band and use the cure as a clean platform. I still have to turn down.

I'm loving this CURE amp... still have a bit of exploring to do between my pedals, amp and efx loop. Thank you all for advice and suggestions. I might try "tubes" first, then replace the speaker... but I need to break this Z speaker in first... gotta say the amp is a delight to play...

I get a lot of mileage out of my Cure. All rehearsals, and quite a few gigs too. When I need clean I turn the Level all the way up, set the MV to around 3:00 (experiment here) and use the Volume for my "Level". The Vol and MV interact so play with it. I get quite a bit of clean headroom with mine, and it's factory stock.

+1 regarding the interactive V and MV. I've found backing the MV off a little, keeping the V pretty low and bringing the Level all the way up gives the cleanest tones. Also, pulling the mids back a bit, especially if you're using humbuckers. I kind of had the same issue when I first got the amp, but now I feel like it has plenty of headroom for most situations.
