We played a venue a while back (Boot Barn Hall in Colorado Springs) so I decided to bring the Germino Lead 55LV and 2x12 Greenback cab to pair with the Z Wreck. To me this combo is heaven! After that gig the Germino and cab ended up riding around in the trailer for several weeks while the Wreck play first chair. We played on the patio of a local pub this last Sunday so I figured I'd use just the Germino so I could load it into the truck bed and take it home at the end of the night. You know...why carry it around if you're not going to use it!
Don't get me wrong...the Germino sounds wonderful and did a fantastic job on the more "rock" tunes we do but it just wasn't "the" sound I've grown used to over the last couple of years...and the Germino "didn't do it for me." While I'm certain I'll end up using the Germino together with the Wreck again or on a future track where I need "that" sound I suspect it'll spend more time patiently waiting in its roadcase to receive the call.
Anyone else have that happen with the Wreck? It's a wonderful amp to be sure...I'm smitten!

I have the rigs in rotation ZWreck with 2x12 Vox cab with blues Komet 60 with 1968 Marshall 4x12 G12h 30s 014 cones Henry SRT+ with the Vox cab It depends on the gig but yes I do like to use the ZWreck often. Sometimes I'll mix two rigs together. It's good to have different flavors of tone!

More often than not, I have a ZWreck and a Swart 30 at similar volumes. Sometimes stereo out from the guitar; sometimes through a rotary pedal. Sometimes with reverb and trem on the Swart. Recently changing things up with the Route 66 in place of the ZWreck. I have other great amps, but those 3 get all the work.
