Now that I finally got my Z-Master paid in full. Im looking for a good overdrive pedal. I currently have a Jam Pedals Fuzz Phrase that just sounds incredible with the Z-Master. Which for me is just fine I prefer a fuzz over an overdrive most the time anyway. I also have a lovepedal Tchula on the way Im going to test out with it. It's more like a boost and a slight overdrive. Which is alright. Its a hard one for me though because I like pedals that are dynamic in nature. And most the overdrive pedals I have come across lately sound like pedals. This amp has such a great tone too it I don't want to take away from it. The Tchula just might work out we will see. Anyway just curious if anyone has found something magical in the overdrive territory with the Z-Master. Thank you

I plan on using my Boss BD-2 w Keeley mod with mine Randy. Haven't gigged it yet, but this pedal sounds great through every amp I've tried it with. Check out some of Andy Timmons' Rig Rundown videos to get an idea.
I've heard the Tchula is very good as well.

I honestly can't find a fuzz, boost or drive for the Z-Master that I like more than the guitar straight in and I've tried lots of my favorites.
It's not that any of them sound "bad" but it's that in every case I find myself missing core elements of the Z-Master sound.

There is such a complex tone in this amp that it does take away from it with effects. I have been experimenting with the tone controls and have come up with some interesting tones just straight in. Its just for live settings when I can't crank it up I need something for lead tone. The fuzz is working for me pretty good. Especially for the fact that I can roll back my volume with that fuzz and get some interesting tones as well.

It brings an octal preamp vibe to the Master that is pretty sweet.

Well I got my Lovepedal TChula Gold today and I am really liking what Im hearing plus it stacks killer with my fuzz. Just a nice slight boost on one side and then on the other side another boost/overdrive its very dynamic. The Z-Master is already very dynamic and articulate so this pedal kind of enhances It and it really fattens up my fuzz.

I love my Tchula with the Z-Master.... However, I have been using my Love Pedal Vintage/Modern the past 2 weeks and find it even more versatile.
It’s a CoT50 on the Vintage side. (Half a Tchula) and a Purple Plexi on the Modern side. The Modern monicker is slightly misleading. It does not sound more “modern” to my ears...just more usable gain.
Highly recommended.

This guy is a great player and good demo of this versatile pedal. Turns my Z-Master into a 3 channel amp. The awesome tweed clean tones of the amp, then a crunchy light OD that clean's up nicely when rolling the guitar volume down, to a full bore, lead tone that still cleans up great. Actually 4 channels because you can turn on both sides of the Vintage/Modern for over the top, soaring harmonic blister sounds....thats still controllable. Pretty cool.
