Okay so I've always had my usual stereo setup. Turntable with built in preamp, powered speakers. I haven't had the chance to set it up since I moved into my house, but I finally did it earlier this week. Thing is my roommate is really into audio and audio equipment, so we've been working on bettering the setup. So far we're using some old Sony floor speakers, a 12" sub, an old power amp from the studio, and our home studio mixer for volume and input control. This works, but it's not ideal.
We need to get a good power amp for the speakers and subwoofer, and eventually I'll wanna get a better turntable and preamp.
PS; We're using this system for both the record player and the TV, which we can connect using an Aux cable so two channel is preferable.
GuitarZ: I'm okay with the AARP letters. You're still living and breathing? What the heck am I to think when a funeral home sends me a free consultation offer? Ouch!

GuitarZ: Reminds me of buying my Honda. When they tried to sell me the maintenance package, I said "Is your car not reliable?" Long story short my wife teamed up with the sales lady to buy the maint package. Never again!
