Man, this thing rocks!!! There's a bit of extra noise (that I certainly can live with)....I've heard about a "ground lift mod" in passing. Can anyone tell me about that?

Now there’s a stack for ya! Some have found this can put the reverb pan too close to the amp underneath causing some noise. The new models have the chassis on the bottom and pan on the cabinet ceiling. They also have a polarity switch I think. I had the version you have and found it very well behaved on the floor right next to the cabinet. I plugged mine into the back of the amp because it had an outlet, and then amp to common wall outlet. You can use a plug adapter if you feel you have a ground loop going on. Also make sure you use a Dr.Z footswitch made for the unit which has shielded cable. I would still have mine but I use just a hint of delay anymore. I will tell you there’s a sweetness, like a stick of butter on your tone going through one.

I've been working through posts here in the Z-Verb section and realized that the noise is likely from the location of the tank. I'm going to place it off to the side next time. It came with the footswitch with the hard wired grey cable so I think I'm good there. I really love the sounds here......I don't play with reverb much of time but it's nice to have this unit for times when I want some real spring reverb happening. It's sounding fantastic!
