I know we just did a Gretsch photo thread like a week ago, but I couldn't resist. Show 'em if you got 'em!

I know we just did a Gretsch photo thread like a week ago, but I couldn't resist. Show 'em if you got 'em! Sweet looking triplets! So what are differences between them tone wise and such? Thanks! Basically, the Setzer Hotrod (the lime green one in the back) is a nasty little stripped down rock 'n roll machine--plenty of spit and snarl. Pickups are pretty hot for TV Joneses, and have lots of bite. There's no tone control as such, and no "mud" switch, but rolling off the volume does tame it somewhat. The White Falcon's smooth, fat and versatile--it can approximate jazz cleans but run it through some dirt and it can also get plenty nasty. Neck's a little fatter, and the solid bridge gives it lots of sustain. The Horton Heat fits between the other two, pretty much.

I just traded off my 6128t Power Jet. I’m not in the Rickenbacker 360 club.
