Hey all - found a killer 2012 NOS American Deluxe Strat, very resonant and plays like a dream but those N3 pickups gotta go. Looking for a vintage to vintage hot neck and middle along with a fat powerful yet single coil bridge sound. Have a few sets in mind, figured I’d put it to the board for recommendations. My main amp right now is a Vox AC30HW, but I also play a Z KT-45 and a Dr Z Therapy head. Here’s the sets I have in mind.
-Dimarzio True Velvet/True Velvet/FS-1 -Fralin Blues Special/Blues Special/High Output -Harmonic Design Vintage Plus/Vintage Plus/S-90 -Rio Grande Vintage Tallboy/Vintage Tallboy/Stelly -Seymour Duncan SSL-2/SSL-2/SSL-3
Thanks!

I've got a couple guitars with the Fralin Blues Special %5 with the base plate. Could not be happier with those.

I've really loved Fralin Vintage Hots with a SP43 in the bridge. Lindy recommended that and I never regretted it...

Lollar Dirty Blondes. You're welcome.

Lollar Dirty Blondes. You're welcome. It’s funny you say that, I was just about to throw Lollar Dirty Blonde into the ring for suggestions. I like a real fire breather in the bridge and based on specs I though the Lollar Special Bridge wouldn’t be hot enough but I just read a review comparing it to the Duncan SSL-5 and saying it held it’s own so that peaked my interest.

The bridge is hotter than a strictly vintage-style set, but still rounder on top than a super-aggressive, super bitey set would be. They're a nice in between--plenty of oomph, but still warm and rich. I typically roll the tone off on the bridge a bit anyway, and usually prefer the #2 position to just the bridge alone, but if you want screamin-to-smokey tones on the bridge and middle-bridge, you could do a lot worse than the Lollars.

There's a reason Bill Nash uses them almost exclusively on his Strats.

Suhr V63's, formally know as the ML Classics (not standards)
